Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality primary care services to patients ages ages 18 and up. This is a part time position. The position is for a Medical Provider in a behavioral health hospital. In house pharmacy, no contact with insurance companies. Set your own hours at the facility. Provider can go in and see patients, then work from home the rest of the day if they desire. Schedule is 7 on 7 off. On- call component, but does not have to be in house. Goal is to round on patients at facility, see new patients, place orders and then can chart from home. Typical rounding time takes around 2-3 hrs or less. On call is minimal, rarely utilized due to being a consulted medical service for the facility. Position is a 1099 contract position.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience in primary care/Psych or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience in dementia care, emergency room (ER) settings, primary care is highly desirable

Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of [state]
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
